The charge is proportional to the work that will be needed for the collection of the required material, to the size of the eBook, and to the level of difficulty for creating the eBook.
Under no circumstances does the charge rise to the level of the charge of the printed version.
It is best to request an offer from Publishopia, exclusively for your own eBook.

The .ePUB file (from “electronic publication”) is an eBook in a widely used format.
There are two ePUB formats: Reflowable (with adjustable layout) and Fixed-Layout (with a fixed layout):

Reflowable: The text dynamically adjusts to the screen size or device and according to the reader’s settings (font size, alignment, background color).

Fixed-Layout: The page layout is fixed and remains the same on every device, similar to a PDF.

Reflowable
Advantages:
Ideal for books, novels, and guides.
Easy to read on smartphones, tablets, and eReaders.
Adapts to the reader’s preferences (font size, night mode, etc.).
Disadvantages:
Does not preserve the exact layout of the original document.
Difficult for books with complex layouts, such as magazines, educational manuals, or comics.

Fixed-Layout
The page layout is fixed and remains the same on every device, similar to a PDF.
Advantages:
Ideal for children’s books, comics, illustrated books, and educational books with tables/diagrams.
Images and text stay in the same position as in the original design.
Disadvantages:
Harder to read on small screens (e.g., smartphones) because the text does not reflow.
Larger file sizes.

When we say that an eBook is multi-touch or interactive, we mean that it is not just static text, but allows the reader to actively interact with the content.

One multi-touch eBook supports multi-finger gestures on touch screens (e.g. iPad, tablets). Typical features include are:

  • Zooming in and out of images using pinch gestures
  • Rotating objects with two fingers
  • Swiping to navigate between pages or chapters

Multi-touch eBooks are commonly found in Apple Books interactive titles or in children’s and educational books.

By an interactive eBook can the reader actively engage with the content, not just read it. Examples of interactivity:

  • Buttons and links that open other pages or sections
  • Quizzes, exercises, and checklists
  • Embedded audio or video
  • Interactive maps, animations, or sliders

Multi-touch and interactive eBooks are more complex to produce than simple reflowable eBooks.
They typically require fixed-layout ePUB3 or Apple Books / iBooks Author formats, as standard ePUB formats do not support all of these advanced features.

Direct and personal communication and oversight throughout the development period of the eBook.

Depending on the purpose of the publication, an eBook can be available free of charge, or to be sold at a price that is appropriate to its size and quality.
Examples can be found at the electronic bookstore of Apple (Apple Books).
